Attempted with Robert "Bob" Davidson from the South [myself] and from the East [Bob], both "wrong" approaches according to the Park authorities.

The soft sand made the hike somewhat challenging but at least it was below freezing and sunny. Had a great time and took many great sand pics :-)

Couple of dunes
Summited High dune first, then Star dune. Feels good to summit a "high point" before Shknbke :-)

High Dune to Star Dune
Came to the park the day after significant rain, making it a much easier trek across the sand. Reached Star Dune approximately 45 minutes after leaving the summit of High Dune.
