From Highland Mesa Dr  Sucess!

'Standard approach' as described had a locked gate across the road so I used a turnout on Highland Mesa, sneaked past the houses and bar gate (not hard) and followed the road most of the way to the summit until I found a ducked gully (not necessary) to the boulders. Really nice views from the summit.

A nice peak  Sucess!

Awesome Iron Hiker. It is possible to hike up there in 10 mins yeah, but I figured I'd try to make it a little harder you know? hehe. If there weren't so many private proprieties around, it would be possible to climb it from the very bottom.
Anyhow, surprising views from the top indeed! It's a nice little peak.

One of my "home mts"  Sucess!

I can see this mountain everyday from my house window.....climbed it about a month after I came to CA for the first time. I was not aware of a trail at the time, so I drove as high as I could on the paved road, to the water tank just below the summit, parked, and climbed up. Like 10 minutes to the top from there! Great views, I saw all the way to the San Gabriels far to the northwest. Definitely may check out the trail next time!
