West Ridge

You can do this climb straight up the West Ridge (Class 3 with routefinding skill). You don't need to go to Big Greider Lake to get to the summit...if you don't want to.

Thanks for the info - are you talking about the west ridge coming directly off of Static, or the logging roads that go up the west ridge of Greider? Either way, I'll add a note to my page. Or, if you like, feel free to add the route. Thanks again - Kevin

The former. You basically walk the old logging road a little ways southward as if heading to Static Point then cut off the road and go straight up the woods until the ridge gets rocky. After some Class 5 dead ends we pretty much stayed on the left side of the ridge until the flattish spine at the top where we stayed right on the crest (not quite knife edge but fun). This was a winter climb.
