Steep slopes and occasional...

Steep slopes and occasional snows are not the only objective dangers on the Southeast Ridge. Shown here are dangerous Yucca plants, native to this remote region of Calfornia. The sharp needle-like leaves of this plant can pierce clothing and even skin. Bloodletting among the unwary is not unknown. Jan 16, 2005

Attack Plant

While I didn't make the summit- (angry bovine chased me off) I did encounter one of those plants- The sharp needle pierced my skin and for a few moments I felt Dizzy! I was so happy to see someone else noted these plants. I hope to made a bid in a week or so.
