If you had a zoom camera, which you probably do, you could zoom in on a
mountain goat chewing its cud at the 11,554'
level.

Re: If you had a zoom camera,Wish I could! I took most of these pictures with a telephoto lens (average quality)that did me well considering I had owned this camera barely a month at that time!
How I wish I could afford good glass!!!

Mt R...Beautiful! I've flown directly over in a small plane but never set foot atop. Great photo, thanks for sharing. Thanks too for taking a moment to checking out my pic.

Re: Mt R...Yes, this economy is really hurting folks.
I love your "quote" on your profile page, Kath!
Climbing mountains is more than a metaphor, but it sure helps to have some "green stuff"
to discover new and exciting places.
I made a discovery! Money doesn't grow on trees !!!

Re: Mt R...Thanks Larry! It's good to have you back on SP after your trip. So you didn't find $$$ growing in the Philippines among all those lovely flowers?
Sadly, I've had to cut short my travel plans for this summer because they want me to start a new project at work. My retirement job is turning into a career!!!

Re: One step at a time....If I ever get back to Rainier I'll try to get up to Camp Muir but really, I was happy just to get back to Paradise after sliding down the trail and breaking an ankle. Getting older isn't for wusses !
Thanks!
