The day before we were still in the Lofoten, but after checking the weather forecasts and seeing a weather window of one sunny day, we didn't take long to decide to go to Stetind. The forecast proved to be right, and it turned out to be a wonderful day and a fun climb.
I tried the crux with my big mountain boots, but they didn't have much grip on the rocks and my fingers weren't strong enough to compensate. Fortunately we had planned for this, and brought our rock climbing shoes.
The summit was surprisingly big. After first seeing the mountain from way below, I had expected something small and airy, but you could have a football match up there! Mind you, you might need a lot of spare balls...
It took us 14 hours up and down but it was lovely weather and we stayed quite some time at the summit!
Retreated from the foresummit due to super strong winds. Nice hike up until that point.
An unforgettable climb and one of finest peak in the world.
