From camp in Stormy Gulch
After hiking in from Beartown and setting up camp, we went up Storm King. We did not find a trail to speak of, which made it pretty annoying. It was mainly loose class 2 with a few easy scrambling options.

Standard route
After a long approach from Molas Pass via the Vestal-Trinity saddle, the actual route was pretty easy. Cool, remote area. Trip report.
From Beartown via Storm Gulch - the path in Storm Gulch was in a very bad shape, many fallen trees, we lost the trail many times. The route finding higher up: to the saddle between Silex and Storm King, then onto next saddle between Peak 8 and SW ridge of Storm King was easy to follow. I expected more scramble and honestly one can keep the route at 2+ difficulty if he wants to. We went up right on the ridge and made it a little more interesting, descended more 2+ gully.
The summit was spectacular.
The weather was interesting - little rain, little snow, some sun, lots of clouds and wind. I guess has to be a little stormy for such a name.

Easy, straight-forward mountain. Some goos views to be had. We climbed this after Peak 9.
Day 4 of an 8 day trip.

SW ridge
An easy climb that we did in the evening after the day's storms had passed. We were in the area for several days and didn't see a single soul except for the goats. A pair followed us all the way back to camp and hung out for a while.
cool summit, but really need to go back and climb the north face

from Lake Silex
fun ascent from Stormy Gulch. The weather was not too great. I was surprised how many people climb this relatively inaccesible mountain. I think most people go up a little to the left of the south ridge.

South Face from upper Leviathan lake
