Hiked up and back on the orange trail. Would've taken a different route down if there was some sort of map or sign telling me where the other colored blazes went to. Views were okay.

Nice viewpoints
It's a short hike but the views are excellent for the effort expended.

Easy hike with great views! Hiked numerous times, practically my backyard. I definitely recommend for a short, half-day hike.

An Excellent Climb
An easy climb. The views from the top are wonderful. I could see the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Also could see the Newburgh Airport. Hope to come back some day.

Storm King Mountain
What an amazing hike! I started at about 10 AM and came down at 3 PM. The hike is only supposed to take 2 hours, but I tried a different route and got lost. So I ended up on the other side of the mountain. There were some outstanding views along the way, especially midway, when all the trees clear out. Awesome views of the Hudson and Newburgh. This was my first "true mountain". Hope to go back someday.

a couple of times
I also went on 04/20/08. You can get some good views of the Hudson Highlands from here. It's a short hike, so you'll have time.
Climbed Butter Hill and Storm King, took the stillman trail down from the summit and around the front and back up again to Butter hill. Very tough going back up again and I am glad we went that way.

Ok hike
Very short hike from 9W. Took me 2.5 hours round trip (without hurrying and stopping for lunch). Not as scenic as I had hoped, but there is a good overlook from the top of storm king.
