Street & Nye
Departed from Hart Lake. Hard snow pack for most of the way, hiked without crampons or microspikes until the end. We hiked up Nye first and then back tracked to hike up Street. At the junction of Street & Nye I put on my microspikes and was glad I did. The last bit of the hike was pretty much climbing up mini frozen waterfalls. It would have been safer using my crampons as it was a bit sketchy with just the microspikes. Nice day with a clear view from a ledge at the summit. Little wind except at the summit where it was very gusty.

With Nye as well
Two hours and thirty eight minutes from the Loj parking lot. There was only one water crossing that forced me to pick my crossing spot carefully. Not much of a view but there is some if you walk past the summit a bit.

Climbed with Nye
Pretty easy hike. The climb itself was fun, but as mentioned there are no views. The trail is easy to follow. There are a lot of blowdowns the last .5 miles or so that slowed me down a bit.

street/nye
Street/Nye was the first real herd path i had been on, and it was not hard to follow but very muddy. Definitely one of the most adventurous trails i've been on.

I climbed a tree to take better pictures of the McIntyre Range. Met a couple hiking their 29th and 30th.

Nice Day
Summited Street Mountain 4166' after our summit of its neighbor Nye Mountain. Weather was around 0 with a -15 windchill at the summit of Street, and while the summits view itself was not exceptional, walking further past the summit offered an excellent view of Algonquin Peak and Iroqouis Peak. Overall an excellent day hike of Street & Nye that took us less than 8 hours roundtrip back to the Loj.

Nice hike!
Pleasant early fall day hike with buddy RD Jim. Moderate grades, some decent views from the top despite the haze. "Trailess" trail is easy to follow. #34/46.

Nye and Street
Started hiking at 10.5 AM from heart lake with our snowshoes strapped on our back. Mostly easy hike, hard packed snow, no ice. Microspikes were sufficent. Sky cleared as we ascended Nye and then Street. Nice (but limited) view on both summit. Nice temp and weather. We were back by 5 PM. After reading many trail reports, winter hiking those summits looks to be the best way to climb those two.

Climbed with Nye and it was a muddy slog but not overly difficult. There is a good view to be had just past the summit sign. #25

Great Fall Hike
An unexpectedly warm day...and sunny too! The trail was covered in fall leaves, and of course muddy in parts. At least the cold nights froze the ground, which was a welcome relief. Not too hard to follow as long as I paid attention. A great view of Algonquin and Iroquois from near the summit, very impressive I thought.

somehow my anle got hurt on this mountain. walked back to the loj not in a good mood. I hope a forest fire burns the mountain now. ha. well maybe not, but there's no way I'd hike this again. and it's too damn muddy.
Not much for views but if you like mud, this is the trail for you.

Street Mountain
Climbed with Nye via the Heart Lake Trail from the Adirondack Loj. Herd path in decent shape, not nearly as bad as it used to be. Good views of the McIntyre Range from the summit.

From Loj
Hiked with Paul after doing Giant & Rocky Peak the day before. Nice showshoe all the way to the summit. Good view on the way up and just past the summit. Sunny and beautiful with tons of snow covering the trees. 22/46
Followed the herd path and also hit Nye the same day, this was quite some time ago when there was still a summit register, I intend on going back again.

Herd Path from Loj
Free-soloed Street and Nye in a single afternoon! Perfect weather all weekend. The trail was actually very dusty, something I have never before seen in 30 years of hiking in the Dacks. The hike out was a little spooky. I saw some sort of ghost-hiker on the path before the river crossings, but it might have been a shadow. Got a little scratched up when the trail got really skinny. Street had a nice lookout with a different view of the Macintyres. Some nice aspiring 46ers gave me a tasty oatmeal chocolate chip cookie on the summit. Also ate a delicious MRE. Slipped on the way down, but luckily I did not fall into an abyss, because there weren't any. This was a very nice hike altogether, my 19th 46er.
