Strong winds on Aineck

Strong winds on Aineck

We planned to do a bit of tour skiing, but winds and avalanche risks prevented us to do so. But the ski descent from Aineck was still nice. February 15th, 2014.

Re: Cool....

I was just astonished as we in Bavaria don´t have much snow - up to now I did not make any ski tour this winter season.

Re: Cool....

Well, here above Katschberg Pass it's still normal. But in Western Julian Alps they report more than 6 meters of snow! We were also not skiing much. It's all the time poor weather - raining and in high mountains snowing, so there's a big danger of avalanches.
Cheers!
