on the Friday of Easter we started our trip to the Rudeolfshuette with the cablecar from Enzingerboden. When we started the climb there was still fog. but soon the sky cleared. Snow conditions were tense (grade 3 of 5) but the summit slope already had many tracks when we ascended it. Very fine powder descent to Rudolfshuette.

By St. Poeltner Weg
On Saturday afternoon we reached the Karl-Fuerst-Hutte. Sunday morning we ascended by St. Poeltner route on the main Hohe Tauern crest, followed it till Stubacher Sonnblick, but where the route hits the steepest part of the glacier we decided to cross the lower part of the glacier (even so the snow was very hard) towards SE and ascended Granatscharte by the less steep part of the glacier. Then we climbed the South ridge to the top. As weather deteriorated we soon descended (otherwise we would ascend Granatspitze too), we used the Venediger Hoehenweg to get back to the hut. Then the Landecktal was still quite looong :-)
