Sugarloaf Mountain

Sugarloaf Mountain as seen from near the intersection of MD 109 and Comus Rd. This picture was taken near sunset at a nearby farm to the Sugarloaf Mountain Park area. Sugarloaf Mountain is a unique figure within this area of Maryland. It only rises 1282 feet above sea level, but it rises above the surrounding coastal plain area and is one of the first foothills one would come to before the Appalachian's within Maryland. The mountain includes a park that has quite a few trails and some good rock climbing areas. (March 22, 2008)
