Nice scramble after Medicine Bow
It only took me an hour and twenty minutes from the summit of Medicine Bow to the summit of Sugarloaf, with some routefinding through the brush on the southwest side. I descended via the East Couloir picking up trash as I went.

September Snow
After a fierce early morning thunderstorm in Laramie, I guess I should not have been surprised to find the Snowy Range...Snowy. There was a half inch sprinkling of white on everything. Low clouds made me opt for Sugarloaf, which was a nice challenge and a beautiful platform to see the rest of the snowy Snowy range. And when the clouds lifted a bit, I continued to Medicine Bow.

from the Med Bow Saddle
Bagged Sugarloaf after coming off of Medicine Bow. Hiked up from the saddle, and down the coulior on the other side to Libby Lake. Weather started coming in on the summit of Sugarloaf.

Sugarloaf Mountain
Kessler, Shaylee, Kimberly, and I climbed Medicine Bow Peak in Wyoming today. It was very warm for October and I didn't even need a jacket on top. After enjoying the summit, we descended a bit and I wanted to climb Sugarloaf Mountain, but the others didn't. The others continued their descent while I climbed Sugarloaf Mountain. I didn't spend much time on top since clouds were gathering, so I descended as it started to thunder. There were some short lived snow pellets, but that was it. We saw several pikas on the hike and a fox in camp. It was a good climb.

Lake Marie Loop
I climbed Medicine Bow with my friends Jaime & Oscar, then I split with them and climbed Sugarloaf from the Lewis Lake/Lakes Trail Junction. There was a little scrambling on mirror-smooth quartzite, but I reached the top faster than I expected. I descended the southwest ridge, and met up with Jaime and Oscar at Mirror Lake, then we headed back to Lake Marie trailhead.

Sugarloaf
Took a road trip to bag Medicine Bow. When we found it too snowcovered, decided to bag Sugarloaf instead. Beautiful park!

A great addition to the summit of Medicine Bow Peak. This leg of the journey was fairly quick, but well worth it. A must-do for anyone day-hiking Medicine Bow Peak or camping in the area.
