05/06/06 Breaking in the mountaineering boots for Rainier. Starting bottom of ski lift.
05/08/06 Same idea with the boots. Took Kim along.

09/03/10 Climbed with my Alyssa. It was very cold on top

6/30/14 Devil's to South Thunder
Hiked to Cecret Lake and approached the summit via the "slope" behind the lake. Probably the easiest 11K here IMO. Great views!
Came over via Baldy, then back over Baldy and American Forks Twin Peaks.
Super easy especially since we took the long way around up the sugarloaf lift road.
Needed something to do and remembered that I hadn't done these two yet. I saw no one on either summit and it was a beautiful day. Wonderful views. Kadee texted me and wondered if I would be doing the Devil's Castle. Another time since I didn't have the time for all three. Still plenty to do in that area for future trips.
Went to cecret lake, decided to summit. Great view, want to go do the devils castle traverse next!
Climbed Devil's Castle where we saw a mountain goat then linked over to Sugarloaf.
Successful Summit: 07/13/09
Bluebird skies and minimal wind made for a nice hike up. I managed an almost continuous ski back to the parking lot at Alta, had to stop once to walk over some talus that had been blown bare. Nice spring snow conditions.
Part of Bullion Divide climb with WMC
I took the usual route hitting Cecret Lake first. Pretty easy hike. Great views of the Albion Basin and the many valleys all around it.
First hiked to the top of Mount Baldy, then hit Sugarloaf. Great views in all directions. Had the summit all to ourselves!
Nice short hike from Cecret Lake. Great views from the top of the surrounding peaks.
Last peak I did carrying my one child...all peaks after with kids were with 2. Trip report and map at http://www.willhiteweb.com/little_cottonwood_canyon/sugarloaf/mount_baldy_140.htm
Skinned up from Collins Gulch in 1 hr 45 mins. Being solo, opted for a sane line down the east shoulder of the peak to the slopes that drop from the Devil's Castle saddle. 3 hr roundtrip due to 45 minutes of dilly-dallying waiting for the snow to corn up.
I had the day off and wanted to do something short and sweet. I went up the east between Devil's Castle and Sugarloaf, went down the west and did Baldy and came back down. Cecret Lake was very crowded, but only saw two people on Sugarloaf and no one on Baldy. Very nice day.
I usually do it along with Devil's Castle or part of Bullion Divide.
Soloed over an afternoon. Loop from Cecret Lake up the west ridge and down the east ridge/Castle route. I saw no one above and few below the lake, not surprising for a weekday. First time I've summitted anything, having just moved here from Oklahoma.
Started at Albion Basin and went via Cecret Lake. Saw no one else past the lake. Beautiful wildflowers. Also did Baldy. My 24th time up here.
