summer seems so far away...

Taken from several hundred feet below the summit of Otokomi Mountain. Partially frozen St. Mary Lake sits below the long, jagged ridge that connects Red Eagle Mountain (left), Mahtatopa Mountain, and Little Chief Mountain (slightly left of center). Just to the right, the bulky massif consisting of Dusty Star Mountain and Citadel Mountain guards the head of the large glacial lake. The summit of Mount Jackson, fourth tallest in the park, is visible in the right background. The corniced ridge in the foreground rises to impressive Dead Horse Point - the ridge continues out of the frame, eventually leading to Goat Mountain.
