razor-sharp scans, exact datesYour slides were scanned professionally. I tried to do it here at the university (there is a small slide-scanner at our department), but as my slides are in glassless frame, I couldn't manage to reach the original sharpness... maybe I'll try to scan them without the frame.
Do you have a hiking diary? Or how do you remember the exact dates of hikes made twenty years ago?
cheers,
Mátyás
p.s. I also was eightteen when I stand there at the same place. Maybe it is an 18-er summit:)

Re: razor-sharp scans, exact datesHi, normally any slide scanner should do it to produce suitable pictures for the internet. I use a Nikon (Coolscan 4000), that can scan 25 pictures in a row, but before a Canon 2700 also wasn't that bad. After scanning sharpening and sometimes color adjustment with software is necessary. My 1985 slides luckily have remained in much better shape than some newer ones.
Yes, I have an old diary of my first hut-to-hut-trip and a summit list on my website that helps me remembering.
