Summit Marker

imagine you've set out for Castle Peak's East Turret, psyched to climb the class 4 summit block. you huff up the snowy hill following snowmobile tracks, thankful that the noisy dirty things are so common as to pack down the trail for you since you lack snowshoes and trekking poles. you get to a rocky rise only to find your destination a mile or so away, and this summit marker with your goal in the background taunting you. all in all, a good day.
