Thanks, I've been there on bad days too. I usually went straight up from lake, and did the long trail only - your route - only once.

distant peaks

I can see the Culebra Peak massif and the Spanish Peaks in the distance. I hiked the Williams Lake trail in the summer of 2008. Thanks for the photo.

Thanks, I did not realize that you can see Culebra from Wheeler.
