Climbed Snow Mtn via Summit Springs on July 30, 2016

Good instructions here. I climbed Snow Mtn via Summit Springs on July 30, 2016 with my 11-year old son. Nice Hike. The road to the parking lot & vault toilet is closed due to a wash out. The rest of the road was fine. So, you have to add another mile plus each way due to that. The closed portion of the road is hikeable, it's just not driveable. There's plenty of parking where the road is roped off. Another good website with information on this mountain is located at http://www.snowmtnhiking.org/. Bring your own water! There's a false summit on the left as you hike up. I thought the trail was quite clear. Spoke to a few guys that came up via Deafy Glen. They said the trail was clear (contrary to what the Ranger told me) but Steep! The intersection of Summit Springs and Deafy Glen trails is clear. There's more signage as you progress up the mountain. It appears there were once 3 benchmarks but all have been removed. Have fun everybody.

Road conditions as of Sept 28, 2016

I was up via Summit Springs yesterday, the final stretch of road is still closed to vehicle traffic but the rangers said it was scheduled for repairs which should be completed within the next couple weeks
