The view from the summit of Muztagh Ata. The dominating peak below is Tuyuk (6161m). Muztagh Ata is a flat peak from the west, but the east face has an impressive drop of 2500m from the summit.

Direction of view?

Corax, just curious, is this picture looking NorthEast or East as hinted at? I presume it's not North otherwise you would see Kongur.

You're right. It's almost dead East (85 degr. I guess). And as you say; if I had been looking North I had seen Kongur. Not the day the photo was shot though. There were lots of storm clouds hanging over the Kongur Massif that day.
