Re: Nice to see the summit ofIndeed it is. Before I got into chasing county highpoints, the only notice I had ever paid to the existance of this volcanoe was a sign along the highway above Klamath Falls that simply says
"Mt. McLoughlin" I didn't have any desire to climb / hike it back then. However, it is a worthwhile goal for anyone who is in the southern part of Oregon.

(Dean, it looks like our window of opportunity is vanishing for Jefferson this year. The rest of my friends appear to think conditions are not good any more from what they saw from Bend this past weekend. I'll let you know though, I haven't forgotten you.)
