Sun Light Arrives on the Emmons Glacier
It had been an incredibly cloudy year in the state of Washington. On my Grand Tour trip we were wondering if the weather on Rainier was going to cooperate. The forecast kept looking bad, but to our fortune we happen to arrive just in time. The rangers even claimed this as "the best weather of the year so far". I couldn't help but continue to stare at the Emmons Glacier as the clouds lifted and sun light was shining down on the mountain. Taken July 6, 2012 6:12 p.m. from Camp Schurman.
