Super photo- surprised it is this way so early in the season, but I'm not from CO so I really don't know any better.
Actually I'd like to see the photo of you in your meeting at work in all your ice gear.

Thank you Chad, the ice was not the best yet, and waterfall is still forming, so we did not go to its top yet.
:) no photos of me in my ice climbing gear from Medical staff meeting...I left ice tools in my car, did not want to scare them too much.

I see you have moved to ice too. Nice Photo. I'm hoping to do DNF this week.

Thanks. what is it DNF?
lcarreau - Nov 18, 2010 12:09 am - Voted 10/10Re: Transition
DNF is an acronym for "Data Not Found."
Nice picture anyway.. and so dangerous. : ))

Thanks Larry, but it does not make much sense if you read Rob's post above... are you making fun of me? hahaha
lcarreau - Nov 18, 2010 12:13 pm - Voted 10/10Re: Transition
No and yes..
EVERYBODY knows that DNF stands for "Direct North Face (W14)"of peak 12579 !!!
You have some homework to do, Liba !
EricChu - Nov 18, 2010 2:33 am - Voted 10/10Very impressive!
Congratulations to this fantastic Photo of the Day of yours, Liba! Magnificent frozen waterfall...dangerous but sooo beautiful...
All the best to you,

I did not even noticed that it is POTD until I read your comment. Thank you, but it is not really dangerous. It is fun!
dragan2 - Nov 18, 2010 3:30 am - Voted 10/10Nice photo!
Lucky you! There is still no snow and ice in my area. I can hardly wait.
Liba Kopeckova - Nov 18, 2010 7:59 am - Hasn't votedRe: Nice photo!
Thank you. Yes, I am lucky - I can go ice climbing in the mountains or rock climbing in the desert, and all in less than 1-1.5 hr of driving. One of the reason I live in western Colorado :)
PAROFES - Nov 18, 2010 6:16 am - Voted 10/10Too bad
I don't have this at my country...i'd love to do some icefall climbing...
great shot Liba and congrats about the POTD!

Thank you Paulo, you are welcome to visit :) I think that you would love it.

Direct North Face. It is a climb on a peak in Mineral Creek close to Silverton. I think it is peak 12,579 or something like that. It is a long, multi-pitch, mostly moderate ice route that is one of the first to form in the area.

Sorry Larry, I developed ADD before I read everyone's reply. It was my first lead, and sadly I didn't finish the dang thing.
BigRob - Nov 18, 2010 7:59 pm - Voted 10/10Re: DNF
If I drive illegally, I could easily rock climb and ice climb in the same day. OK, legal/no legal very close.

No worries, Robin!
In my next life, I'd like to return as a Raven. Then, I could FLY from place-to-place,
without having to buy gasoline and pay taxes !
Liba Kopeckova - Nov 19, 2010 10:06 am - Hasn't votedRe: DNF
I was looking at that climb. Looked lovely. Well, you will finish it next time...
Liba Kopeckova - Nov 19, 2010 10:13 am - Hasn't votedRe: DNF
Larry, why don't you buy an electric car? flying could be dangerous, especially after drinking.
lcarreau - Nov 19, 2010 7:21 pm - Voted 10/10Re: DNF
Electric cars? They cost too much..
Liba, are you still a Doctor? What does ADD
mean, and WHY does Robin always use those silly acronyms??
I hate acronyms! Our world has too many of
those disgusting letters that nobody understands.
Down with acronyms.. and, UP with mountains!
