Sunflowers Everywhere

The first 1.5 miles of the West Maroon Pass Trail from the Crested Butte, Colorado side contained an enormous amount of nodding sunflowers (Helianthella quinquenervis) this August. The blurred mountains in the background are the start of the Treasure Mountains and Raggeds Wilderness south of Schofield. Photo taken 8/12/08.
