Sunrays and Fortification Hill

Sunrays and Fortification Hill

My favorite wildflowers of Lake Mead Area. Fortification Hill (a table-top mountain with a summit offering great vistas of the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead) is in view in distance. Arizona. February 20, 2006

Great photo, Anja...

I really like this one because of the composition and natural desert colors. The Nevada desert has always held a special place in my heart... especially at 80 on my quad :-)

Re: Great photo, Anja...

Thanks Torsten. I always like to do Fortification Hill while the gorgeous sunrays are in bloom. One can also stop by the shore of the lake on the way to trailhead.

Nice Shot

I also like your pictures on Google Earth. Is this one of them? It looks like it...
