Sunrise just below summit

Looking towards Illimani during a beautiful sunrise. Conditions were perfect and we had the summit to ourselves. Two weeks later we would stand ontop of Illimani. Once again we were the only team on the mountain. (March 2004)

Fluetlings?

I thought the region was famous for those delicate travertines of hanging snow. Maybe i can see some starting on this jaw dropping slope. Looks cold. Great shot.
