Re: Awesome!We went early enough that crevasses hadn't opened up much and were avoidable with care. We decided to go without glacier gear since we were doing a 2 day push and we were going to try the glacier free route up disappointment peak (which is the only non glacier route I know of but the approach is from the south, however it is west of the standard route...), but it didn't look appealing when we saw it up close. Lots of loose rock and scree so we decided to just follow the boot path through the glaciers and had no issues. Later in the season glacier gear is a necessity however.

Compared to Hood, Rainier and Baker, I wouldn't
think Glacier would get so much limelight.
