Impressive to say the least. Excellent capture! Every sunset is unique...thanks for sharing this one with all of us on SP. Happy Trails out there.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment, and you have submitted so many superb sunsets of your own.
I was out taking shots of the sunset over the lake, and it seemed the show was over... went down to sit by the tent and 5-10 minutes later this appeared. Had to get back up, and it only lasted 3-4 minutes, but it was worth it.
Nothing completes a perfect day quite like one of these moments. :0)
Thank you so much for the comment. It was a great day... super climb in the morning, an afternoon hiding from the longest hailstorm I had ever been in within my tent, and then a nice calm evening.
Amazing combination of color, clouds and water. Well done! CJ
Thanks CJ. The weather forcast for the weekend was not great, sometimes it pays to head out anyway eh?
Sunrays and reflex on the water... beautiful!!
Thanks for looking Mountainfriend. That evening, and the climb in the morning, really made the weekend worthwhile. Bad weather forecasts can yield good results!
This is a really beautiful shot. It grabs you like you are at that place at that moment.
I was lucky to have the moment too. I camped there two nights, and considered moving the second night to a nearby location just for a new view. In the end my sloth paid out and I stayed put. Thanks Roy.
I'll have to feature this one in the mountain lakes album. Great capture Mr. Chad!
Thanks for the compliment Mr. Lewis. And that's a great looking album... even better looking now! haha...
So beautiful colours. I like so much to look at your photos.
Thanks LungFruit, I enjoy taking them too. I am glad you enjoy them.
stuff, as usual. sure, it's not a picture of your pants, but it's still some fine photography, and terrific scenery.
lols... something for the future... It was a great place to go for an iffy weather forecast. Thanks anita!
Nice to have the water so perfectly still :-)
You betcha. Sometimes a little luck goes a long way eh?
(or a lot of luck)
This wonderful image almost appears to be in a tropical setting with a giant palm tree in upper right.
Haha... I see what you're saying, but I was bundled up in all of my fleece at the time, surrounded by ice pellets from the hailstorm...
