Sunset in Japanese Alps

Glorious sunset from near the summit of Yariga-take (3,180m). It was so cold when I captured this photo, it took me an hour to properly warm up in the Yarigatake-sanso (hut) afterwards. We spent the night at the sanso, climbed Yariga-take in the morning and continued to Hotaka-dake for a glorious climbing adventure.

Gorgeous colors and the effect of the clouds creeping over the ridge is neat. Great job on a beautiful photo!
