The Lower Marmot - Apr 8, 2004 10:34 pm - Voted 10/10Great picture!
It was very disappointing to see some of your more recent pictures receive low votes as I feel they have all been more than deserving of 4 stars.

Kane has some of the colors too when he has been shooting some of the red granite. Quite nice

Dont forget - this is NOT red granite, but white limestone!

Thanks TLM, Mark & Sven! Yes Sven, Sun had to break few sweats to make white limestone look like this :-)

... and you have to break more sweats to get into right place at right time in such snow conditions!

We all have too low criteria on voting pictures. This picture and similar are 4 stars!

Just brilliant! Very few photos have made me want to visit an unfamiliar place more than this shot! It looks very rocky - what is the climbing like there?

Thanks Dan!! It is well worth the visiting, scenery is amazing and very unique! Rozanski Kukovi group is strict preserve for almost 40 years and climbing is forbidden here. But if you like climbing Paklenica canyon on South Velebit (this is North Velebit) offers endless choice of routes and you can combine these two areas in one visit.
