First Summit in Years  Sucess!

Ammon Hatch and I took Catherine's Pass to Sunset. This was the first summit I climbed since I was in high school. It was glorious, and it toughened me up for Lone Peak a couple of weeks later.

Afternoon Delight  Sucess!

This was a tasty treat! The views were amazing. I'm looking at you Princess Timpanogas, Your curves be looking so sexy! RAWR! This truly was a gorgeous hike. It wasn't too difficult at all. We planned on doing Wolverine, but a storm came in and rained on the parade. As Garth Brooks once said... and the thunder rolls!

Re: Afternoon Delight

Pssssst - you spelled the name of your beloved mountain wrong. It's Timpanogos. We should just blame your phone again, yes?

Maybe don't wear toe shoes...?  Sucess!

Apparently they embarrass Norwegian princes. This is probably (definitely) a better afternoon option than CrossFit, though. Much prettier than a bunch of sweaty dudes doing burpees, too.

After School Special  Sucess!

Some friends and I did this peak in about an hour and a half...for the time commitment it was well worth it. The meadows and lakes are beautiful and the views are exquisite. I highly recommend this hike.

Ran it while a friend waited and then we hit Wolverine together. Good views of Park City. Not a remarkable peak but one to grab while out on a hike of the area.

Big Cottonwood Canyon Super Loop  Sucess!

9/29/2012 Climbed with the WMC as part of a BCC super loop.
9/10/2014 Devil's Castle traverse. From just below Albion Basin I followed the nice trail up to Catherine Pass. From there I went up to Sunset and then on to Point Supreme. From Point Supreme it was a fun scramble over Devil's Castle. I followed the ridge to the saddle between Sugarloaf and Baldy before dropping back down.

My first official peak  Sucess!

Sunset peak was the first official peak I ever climbed! I had just met my now husband days before. I guess you could call this our first "date." It was pretty awesome. Our then 15, 14, 6, and 2 year old's went with us. Excellent hike, with excellent views. Looking back after the hikes I've been on since, this was a pretty easy one, still incredible though. Plus, it was cool to climb our first peaks ever together (Kanyon (6) and I)

Fun, scenic little hike  Sucess!

We've been up to Catherine Pass from both the Brighton and Alta sides, and I think the Brighton Lakes Trail is the more scenic way. This time we took the shorter approach from Albion Basin, and I jogged to the top while the family ate some snacks and watched the sunset from Catherine Pass. We saw the same two bull moose, along with a cow and calf, that we saw just a few days earlier from the other side, which was cool.
