So where is this interesting looking rock?
That is 3 Feathers on a dome somewhere....
All trad. Slinging horns and a few stoppers.
Hmm, why so secret? Whatever the case, the rock looks of good quality.
Hi sorry for being evasive...but on request of the"Gate Keeper" we need to keep it hush hush for now...next year it'll be public and a guide/topo will be available.
SP's own Dave Daly has made a few forays with us and he's sworn to secrecy too ;)
I understand the need for keeping it secret. In the meantime, I would enjoy helping out as a belay slave if ever needed. It would be a pleasure to climb such fresh rock.
boulderhound - throw her a bone! Michele - surely you've heard of Shuteye Ridge. Lot's of amazing rock.
Yes, Shuteye Ridge...I've been meaning to get out there. The season is just kicking in, isn't it? Thanks for the reminder.
Ahh Yes, tis true... the season has begun in fact....during the cinco de mayo weekend.
Dave's new line plus another 5.9 sling fest.
I'm looking forward to climbing those routes! Perhaps you could just let me know where this new climbing area is right before making it public...it would be nice to be able to climb there while it is so pristine.
Absolutely...Dave said you're good people.
As NateD ;)(G.K.) mentioned it is in the Shuteye area.
Perhaps later this season...........??
Thank you! Please keep me posted and good luck with putting up all those routes.
Even if and when it quietly goes public (to some degree), heaven forbid this area NOT stay pristine. As DD may have mentioned, Shuteye has so many fine crags riddled across many miles, and this is just one humble addition.
Bummer it's going semi public. I took 5 or 6 trips up there abouts last year and have worked hard to get the info I have....Headed back next week for 7 days!
Speaking of info does anyone have the old soyo topos any where I'd love to get them
(given how I've learned to trust spencers guide....)
Kev - I pm'd you. Good digging to find this exchange!
Just wait until our test piece 'Three Amigos' (5.10++) is finished! Can't wait to link that smallish dike up with the crack above!! I'm sure this "place" will be a fine addition to the SoYo area climbs.
Dude......as much as you are tasting that little nugget(I'm doing the same BTW)
Wait...I mean WAIT til you get on WingMan.
Hmmmm Tasty. As Emeril says....BAM!! :)
