Awesome photo

Your photos are awesome. I wanted to trek the Sutlej Gorge in Western Tibet in 2003 having read Victor Chan's book. Unfortunately that was the year Tibet was closed to foreigners due to SARS so I never made it.

Re: Awesome photo

Thanks BigLee!

I have been twice to Guge (first time cycling), but unfortunately I never made the whole trek along the Sutlej Gorge. If you have the chance to go there again, don't miss the ruins of the ancient troglodyte city of Khyunglung (maybe 20-30km from Tirthapuri). It’s maybe not as impressive as the ruins of Guge, but the site is totally abandoned, which gives it a magic atmosphere.

And last but not least, there are some fantastic hot springs just near Khyunglung! For sure the best bath (actually the only one…) I had in Western Tibet!
