Sycamore Canyon Near Sedona

Drive out (high clearance vehicle recommended) Forest Service 525, taking 525C (Sycamore Pass Road) until its end and you'll reach the trailhead to hike into Sycamore Canyon. Hike that trail for a short distance (about 1/2-mile), and you'll pass a gate that is the entry to the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. Once there, you'll find lots of opportunity to explore the wonderful country around Sedona, mostly in solitude. This image of the canyon was taken just past that gate. Imaged in July 2007.
