Overview
Geographical classification: Western Alps >
High Dauphiné Alps > Soreiller group
Têtes du Replat is a mountain with two popular often climbed summits. The mountain is part of High Dauphiné Massif, one of the most important high mountain set in the Alps.
Têtes du Replat are on a ridge joining Soreiller mountains and Râteau group. It's very close to the south side of la Meije too. This mountain has two main side: the southern side, named Chatelleret side, mostly dry, and the northern side, named la Selle side is covered by Glacier de la Selle. Note that the name "La Selle" that means "the saddle" is directly coming from the shape of Tête du Replat mountain.
Passing têtes du Replat through Replat pass is the easiest way to go from Vallon de la Selle to Vallon du Chatelleret.
The normal route from both sides is an easy (F) route going to Col du Replat 3335m and from there going to Tête sud du Replat 3428m using the SE ridge (easy rocks).
They are some rock climbing classic routes on the ridges of S and N summits.
