over from Shavano
45 minutes from the summit of Mount Shavano. Very reasonsable and fun. Was rrreally windy, but the ridge between the peaks did a great job of blocking it.

Via Mount Shavano
I reached the summit at 10:15. The view of Browns Gulch is very pretty. The weather still looked reasonable by that time, but I took a few pictures and then headed back to Shavano, where I had lunch. There was a little rain when I had descended below treeline. I got back to the trailhead at 2:30.
Picked up the summit after a sunrise ascent of Shavano last summer.

Third Time a Charm!
Finally tagged the top while my son waited for me on the summit of Shavano. It was my third attempt on Tabegauche. Last year I was turned around by weather once and nausea the second time. Glad to have it out of my system.

Shav & Tab via Angel
Great day! The ridge between Shav/Tab wasn't nearly as bad as it looked. Actually a quick trip over and back.

good stuff
a fine day indeed! ditto what Mots010 said about Shavano: Successful day on Shav and Tab. Weather was cooperative and the glissade down the Angel was a nice touch.

Snow climb on the west ridge
A repeat climb, we chose a different route... lots of snow and cornices as we traversed the tricky ridge. The snow was more sparce under the summit- thus making our final pitch more difficult for footing & our ice axes. Nerves were higher than expected, but after an awesome 1,000 foot glissade, we were all smiles!:-)

made it a 2-for 12 for 1. 44 min scramble down Shav and back up to top of Tab. Well worth the effort. Could hear coyotes howling in the valley below.

3rd 14erSweet traverse to the summit from Shavao. Not too hard, and it didnt take too long either. I highly recomend it if you have already summited Shavano.
