I was thinking of him not too long ago when I was looking at the mountain where he died, La Meije in Les Écrins. I didn't remember he was so young, though. Really sad.
He was a really young when his rope was torn during a climbing. He was the pioneer of mountainering without any guide. He said if you want to climb in the mountains alone you most learn some basics. He died so young but he was very experienced mountaineer because he climbed more than 400 summits in the Alps.
I would like to write an article about him soon.
I think that would be a very good idea!
