second of two  Sucess!

Took 88 minutes to get over here from Pinnacle. The entire day took four hours and forty five minutes including both summits. Vey limited views due to cloud vapor from the rains that passed through earlier in the day.

Not many views  Sucess!

Not many views from summit. Gotta go beyond summit to overlook. A few spots on the trail where wet rocks can be tricky, but nothing major. Got great weather and saw no one until I got on the ridge from Pinnacle fairly close to Table Rock Mtn trail

Go Past the Summit  Sucess!

Been up this one a few times. Lovely hike by any standards and if you can go on a weekday, you'll have the trail to yourself. Add Pinnacle Mtn for the fun of it and you get a nice longish loop of maybe 12 miles.
FYI, I actually know two people who slogged up Table Rock, got to the summit, and didn't realize that all the great views were 1/4 mile further down the trail. Go to where the trail peters out on the bare rock!

Excellent Hike  Sucess!

The hike up to the summit is in my opinion the most enjoyable in South Carolina.

Super Bowl Sunday  Sucess!

Nicest day of the year so far. Usually I prefer views into wilderness, but this view overlooking upstate South Carolina was great anyway. Nice hike up the old CCC trail.

Too hot for October  Sucess!

A good climb - steep trail. Did this before in winter, seemed a lot easier. Is it ever going to be fall around here?

Good Trail  Sucess!

I really enjoyed this climb. While parts some parts were strenuous, nothing was dangerous. The trail was well kept, the park beautiful, and the views along the way were gorgeous.

Table Rock Trail 5-10-06  Sucess!

It was pouring rain, cloudy, and slippery. We hear there are great views but we picked the wrong day to see them. The hike was still fun and standing on the massive rocks was rewarding.

Route Climbed: Table Rock Trail  Sucess!

While the forecast called for heavy rain, a bunch of us decided to brave the weather anyway. We were surprised to find that while it was overcast, the skies never really decided to pour down on us until we began to descend. A lovely day, and an absolutely lovely trail.
