Southeast Gathering  Sucess!

Working with a bad knee so my first attempt to climb it via a longer trail did not work well. I ended up summiting via the shorter route.

A warm dry climb to fantastic views on the final day of summer  Sucess!

Table Rock offers spectacular views of the Gorge below and Hawksbill Mountain. Unlike many of the other highpoints I have visited in the South, Table Rock had a number of visitors on its summit. Perhaps this was due to the unusually warm and dry weather we have been experiencing in East Tennessee/Western Carolina. For solitude and equally breathtaking views, I recommend Sitting Bear.
