crampons a ballin'
descended Tahoma Glacier after a successful climb of the Sunset Amphitheater Couloir earlier that day. It was HOT on the Tahoma by afternoon. Crappy snow conditions resulted in slow going down the glacier to our camp. Watched an avalanche on the climbers right of the route the previous afternoon.

Beautiful, difficult
2 partners and I attempted this route (in what we learned for this area was) "late season". It was long, difficult, and awesome, and took 5 days. This glacier is seriously crevassed and very large. Saw no one the entire time. We were thwarted by excessive routefinding difficulties and finally turned around by glacier-wide crevasses and icefalls at around 12,000. We had great weather though! Will attempt again next time in June.
