Overview

One of the famous mountain of the high atlas. It's a plateau oriented WE with 7 famous ski or snow-board corridor : . between 30° AND 45° . lenght from 350 to 600 meter . level : from AD+ to TD You can see it from Marrakech, cause of his unique form and the fact that's the neighbour from the Toubkal

Getting There

To get there : from marrakech, drive until Imlil and then start the Trek. First day : from Imlil to the village of Tizi oussem trough the Tizi Mzic pass (2490 meter). You arrive in the Azadene valey, famous for her juniper forest. Second day : from Tizi oussem to the Tazaghart refuge (3000 m) through Azib Tamsoult and the Irhouliden cascade. Third day : climb of the occidental corridor and down with snow-board ( see route) Last day : back to Imlil through the tizi tzickert pass at 3129 meter and the assif Timellilt ( savage canyon)

you are in the national park of Toubkal, no right to hunt. No permits or fees required. No seasonal closures.

When To Climb

for ski or snow-board : the best months are marsh and april because of the godd snow conditions that you can find. It's recommended to climb it if there's a lot of snow because the corridor are in this case easier to descend

Camping

camping is allowed but not possible during winter. There's a hut at 3000 meter face to the Tazaghart. No fees
