Just to do it.
Miserable mountain with too many false summits. Came up the cliffs and got stuck half way and had to back track and reroute which wasn't fun. Finally made it, then came down the other side through the brush in the dark which was the really miserable part. We all swore we'd never do that mountain again. That said it was so bad it was actually fun..

Got 'er Done
A distinct memory from this trip was coming across a fellow packing a .357 on his hip.

West Slopes
I will second the opinion that Teakettle is not easy to climb.
A good starting point is a challenge. With 10' high brush, alders, snow up high, and very uneven terrain making a steady pace impossible, this one is a real test.
Surprisingly my route finding popped me out up top within twenty feet of the summit.
Rumor has it that I may or may not have crossed Columbia Falls Aluminum Plant land, which I can neither confirm or deny at this time.

Success on Teakettle
Not an easy mountain to climb.
Vantana and I climbed up the SW corner of Teakettle.
Decided that the return down the same route would be too difficult so we looped down to the north. Great decision. Approaching from the Gun Club would be much better.
