a SPS trip. also bagged Spanish Mtn previous day.
With a bunch of Sierra Challenge buddies
Mostly just a long hike through the forest, but the summit has truly spectacular views. In this low snow year, the crossing of Crown Creek was a non-event. We carried a rope for the crux, but none of the three of us used it.
Fun scramble up the north ridge, great views. I signed near the bottom of the last page of the Sierra Club register, so at some point someone might want to bring in a new notebook.
Enjoyable solo trip in the fall- didn't see a soul the entire trip. Camped at a small creek just east of Deer Meadow and climbed Spanish Mtn the next day...
With Matthew Holliman and Glenn Gookin
Took the wimpy class 3 route from the north. Swell views, long hike in. Trip Report
