I did a real fun route on Temple Crag five years ago, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting The North Plisades region.

Renaming of N. Pal!You know a lot more than I do. I didn't know there was a controversy about renaming N.Pal. But, I know about the Middle Pal, that was renamed Split Mountain, or was it the South Pal? I really don't know for sure. No diffrence to me, by whatever name they call it, I love the area.

Awseome...photo. Can't wait to visit that area of the Sierra's myself. As for renaming North Palisade weren't they looking into renaming it Brower or something like that, after the Sierra Club pres?

Re: Awseome...Temple Crag is one mountain you will not miss when approaching the North Palisades region. By the time you get to the 3rd lake, you would want to change your plans of doing N.Pal, and go for Temple instead.
I'm not sure if the name change has already taken place yet. For one, I'm dead set against it.
