Re: Wonderful portrait of a mountain!

Thanks very much Vid! I'm so impressed with the San Lucano group it is hard to describe! The way it's walls rise above the San Lucano valley is breathtaking! Definitely on of top spots in the Dolomites for me :-) Wish there were some ferrata's here!

Re: Wonderful portrait of a mountain!

You're right, Valle di San Lucano it's a special place, still far from the turistic madness of other places of the Dolomites. Ferrate? There is one of the most beautiful vie ferrate of the area there, called "Sentiero Miola", that goes up to Bivacco Bedin, in the heart of Pale di S.Lucano. Very difficult with fantastic views to the Pale.
Ciao!

Re: Wonderful portrait of a mountain!

So that is via ferrate?! I've seen it in the Tobacco map but it is drawn only as bit more difficult normal path, not as ferrata. Thanks for the info! Would love to do it one day.

Be there now

Your photos both make me feel like I am there, and also that I want to be there, at the same time. Strange, but that's how it is. Powerful work. Good to see you around.
