So this is the mountain which is used to measure one's ability to cllimb Mont Blanc. Someone said that if you could climb this on a Friday starting at the church square in Courmayeur and repeat the climb on Sunday, then by next weekend you should be strong enough to climb Mont Blanc.
Hey Buxlex, nice page thanks for bringing this mountain to my attention! I'm in the area from october 10th.. Do you know whether it is 'normally' still possible to hike up there mid october? Is the bivouac still open? There are some nice pictures from a sunrise in october on the page, and I was just wondering if it was still an option.
