My first visit to the Texel Group was in 2007, mostly hiking. The weather was, well, interesting, and the only summit I bagged was the Blasiuszeiger.
The year after I came back, and added Hohe Weiße. On that summit I saw neighboring Lodner, and although slightly lower, it looked pretty impressive. I couldn't get it out of my head. In 2012 I came back, hoping to climb it by myself, but conditions were not good for a solo attempt. Finally, in 2013, it all came together and I made it.
In the mean time, both in 2012 and 2013, I hiked and climbed a number of other peaks. I was drawn mostly to the western half of the group, for that's where the highest peaks are to be found, as well as some tiny glaciers.
