The all-important first...
The all-important first gully, the bottom of which is at ~2,300 ft, the top of which is some 500 vertical feet higher. It goes on and on. A lot of loose rubble rock and shredded bits of windfall. Then there's some brush and some short Class 4 steps. However, the climber's path dumbs it down a little. Flagging (what I didn't remove) dumbs it down a little more. Aug. 20, 2005.
