The Brushy Gully

This is this gully, looking up from 3400 ft. It didn't seem that far to the open ground higher up, but it took me a long 30-40 minutes to ascend a few hundred feet. Much fern pulling, devils club do-sa-do'ing, and alder undering. Incidentally, that's not the summit above but the northernmost false summit. Sept. 30, 2012.
