The Cabane de l'Ar Pitetta (or Arpitettaz) below Zinalrothorn

The summit of Zinalrothorn is on the right. To it's left, the Pointes Nord et Sud de Moming. As usual, I have to state that as a miniature, the photo doesn't have the same quality as it does when viewed large...

Amazing Clarity!

What camera did you take this with? The details are very impressive with of course a great subject.

Re: Amazing Clarity!

You gave me 10/10 on this one!!! Wow - that's a triumph - thanks! ;-)
I'm using a Nikon D 3100 (SLR) at the moment - a camera I'm very happy with! As to the clarity - yes, I was extremely lucky with light conditions at that moment! Plus the incredible beauty of the place...!
Cheers, Josh,
Eric

Re: Amazing Clarity!

As you may know, I try to vote as honestly as possible. It's easy to vote all 10/10's on photos, but I try to make my votes as meaningful as possible. On average I vote 10's a few times a month to what I deem as the best of SP. Some say "I wish I could vote 11/10". That's what a 10 is for. My 9/10 means I thought the photo is amazing. Anyways, I should look into the camera later. It's always nice to have an idea of what camera takes sharper pictures.

Re: Amazing Clarity!

Thanks for your answer, Josh - I see what you mean! I thought anyway already, that that was the case.
The advantage with the Nikon D3100, as surely also with other SLR cameras, is that you can adjust the sharpness to which ever degree you like. It's nice not to have to do any posterior sharpening on the computer any more...
Cheers,
Eric
